The founder and president of
EJD Constructive Concepts Inc., Eddie DeGaetano is a native Staten
Islander. In 1982, he started his career with a local paving contractor
and in 1988, taking his experience, artistic talents, and well-honed
skills, Eddie set out to start his own company.
Working from his parents' home with
little more than a pick-up truck, a few tools and a lot of hard work,
he began to grow his business, installing residential driveways, walkways,
and patios. He was determined to build a good reputation by offering
quality service and developing customer loyalty.
The 1990's saw unprecedented growth
in consumer demand for colored interlocking concrete pavers. Owners
of old homes as well as newly constructed homes sought the aesthetic
enhancement that pavers offered, for their walkways, driveways, patios
and in-ground pools. Constructive Concepts was among the first of
the manufacturer approved installers to meet the ever-increasing market
demand for these products in the Staten Island area. Much of their
work can be seen throughout Staten Island.
Over the succeeding decade since its
incorporation in 1990, Constructive Concepts has grown in size as
did the number of trucks, specialized equipment, and technicians.
Word of mouth recommendations from satisfied customers enabled the
business to expand and soon commercial installations were added to
the ever-increasing residential work.
Today, in addition to the
colored interlocking concrete pavers, the company also accommodates
its customers with other types of materials such as concrete, asphalt,
brick, cultured stone, balustrades, and more. Whether it's a city
street, driveway or walkway, patio or in-ground pool deck, curbs,
garden walls or retaining walls, no job is too big for our technicians
to handle.
